PLASU Management Announces Start of 2026/2027 SUG Politics

This is to inform all students of the Plateau State University (PLASU) that following the successful screening and confirmation of the Electoral Commission (ELCOM) by the Parliament, it is hereby announcing the immediate lifting of the ban on electioneering campaigns.

​Aspirants are now permitted to commence their campaign activities in accordance with constitutional provisions.

​Please be advised that all Electoral Committee Members holding office for this legislative year are strictly prohibited from voting or being voted for in these Union elections. They are expected to maintain absolute neutrality throughout their tenure.

​We urge all aspirants to conduct their campaigns with civility, focusing on issue-based manifestos that promote the progress of the student body. Any breach of the Students’ Union Constitution or the Code of Conduct during this period will result in immediate disqualification.
