Joseph Adekunle Adegbite Scholarship Foundation has opened the next application round for “Tuition Support for Academic Excellence 2026”.

This scholarship call covers selected secondary school pupils and tertiary school students, with separate rules for each group. Applicants should read the category that fits them before filling the form; one wrong document can slow a strong application.

Who Can Apply for Joseph Adekunle Adegbite Scholarship 2026?

The scholarship accepts applications from secondary school students and tertiary school students who meet the stated conditions.

Secondary school applicants must attend government secondary schools and reside in Lagos. Tertiary school applicants fall into two groups: freshers and returning students.

Application Requirements for Secondary School Students

Secondary school applicants must show proof of promotion from Primary School to JSS1, JSS3 or SS3.

Students who have not written their qualifying exams should upload their recent result. Students already studying in JSS1, JSS3 or SS3 do not qualify for this category.

Applicants must also provide one of the following:

  • A valid school ID card with a birth certificate
  • A signed school testimonial from the school principal

JAASF may ask applicants to submit more documents or take part in further checks set by its Board of Examiners.

The scholarship is open only to government secondary school students who live in Lagos.

JAASF will contact only shortlisted candidates for further screening.

Application Requirements for Tertiary School Students

Tertiary school applicants should check the rules for freshers and returning students.

Freshers

Freshers must meet one of the stated conditions.

A newly admitted student must have received provisional admission into a government university in Nigeria. A newly admitted student who scored 250 and above in JAMB may also apply.

JAASF will contact only shortlisted candidates for further screening.

Returning Students

Returning students must currently study at a Federal or State Government University, Polytechnic, or College of Education.

University students must have a minimum CGPA equal to Second Class Upper, also called 2:1. Polytechnic and College of Education students must have Upper Credit.

Applicants must upload verifiable proof of academic performance during the application process.

JAASF will contact only shortlisted candidates for further screening.

Eligible applicants should fill out the form through the Joseph Adekunle Adegbite Scholarship application portal.

Applicants should prepare their documents before starting, especially proof of promotion, school ID, birth certificate, testimonial, admission record, JAMB result or academic performance record, depending on the category.

Joseph Adekunle Adegbite Scholarship Deadline

The application deadline is 30 June 2026.

Applicants who plan to apply should complete the form before that date and keep copies of all uploaded documents.
